e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer Review + Swatch

e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer

Hello again!

This is described as a full coverage (hence the name) concealer that will cover tattoos, birth marks, blemishes, scars, etc. It is oil-free, which is great for oily skin types as it does not feel greasy at all. This review is in the shade “Porcelain”.

The texture is not thick but it is also not runny at all; it spreads easily and blends well. I would say that the coverage is medium; I do not think that this concealer, on its own, would be able to cover tattoos. It is fine for every day use if you do not suffer from major dark circles; I would not describe this as “maximum coverage”.

I really like the squeeze tube packaging because it is sleek and light; it also contains 20mL of product.

This shade is perfect for ivory skin tones since it brightens the under eyes without looking too light. The swatch below has the product squeezed out of the tube on the bottom and spread out on top.

e.l.f. Maximum Coverage Concealer

Overall, I thought this concealer was alright but far from my top favourites. It creased slightly on me throughout the day and faded after a few hours. I would recommend this if you like a medium-coverage creamy concealer and don’t mind the slight creasing and fading after a few hours.

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow (Bewitched) Review + Swatches

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow

Hi again!

I’m so excited about this review because this eyeshadow is a duo chrome (bronze/teal) shade that is beyond gorgeous! It looks completely different in the pan than it does on the skin. This is in the shade “Bewitched”.

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow

Prestige Total Intensity Eyeshadow

The formula is very buttery (glides on) and extremely pigmented. You can use this with a brush but I prefer to use my finger because I feel that I get the best results using that method. It does not have any fall out during application or throughout the day. It does not fade much; by the end of the day I notice that it is pretty much the same as when I applied it. This formula is one of my favourites in my collection.

This shade is gorgeous; it is a teal color (the teal doesn’t show up in the swatches below) and when the light is not reflecting on it, it becomes a warm, bronze shade. This looks amazing on the eyes because it makes the centre of your eyes pop (teal) while the outer portion is bronzed. I love to first blend in a warm matte brown shade in my crease and place this on my lid.

I highly recommend this eyeshadow; the formula is amazing and the color is very unique – I would love to get more shades after this! The only thing to keep in mind is to swatch the shades (or look them up on Google) because they are very different than what they look like in the pan.

Korres Guava Lipstick (Mauve) Review + Swatch

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

Hello everyone!

This claims to be an extended-wear lipstick with intense color and a very moisturizing texture. The formula is very moisturizing; it feels like a lip balm and does not drag on the lips at all. It also has a very pleasant smell, similar to Mac lipsticks (vanilla scent) but I prefer the scent of this one much more. Korres’ products do not include the harmful chemicals that most other brands do.

This formula lasted about 4-5 hours on me while slowly fading after about 2 hours. I would say that it lasts longer than a regular lipstick but wouldn’t necessarily call this a long-wearing lipstick. However, I was surprised that it did last as long as it did since it felt slippery on my lips. It is very comfortable to wear and is perfect for those with dry lips or for using during the winter.

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

The shade I choose was “Mauve” and it looks on the tube to be a mid-tone purple shade however, it is more towards a pinkish, berry color with a touch of mauve. It also does not live up to the claim that it has “intense color”, as I had to swipe a few times to get the swatches below. This is a sheer lipstick but can be built up for more intensity.

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

Korres Guava Lipstick Mauve

The tube is thin and so is the lipstick which makes it easier to apply without over-drawing however, it has much less product than a regular tube of lipstick.

Overall, I recommend this for those with dry lips and the shade is a nice autumn color if you are uncomfortable wearing dark berry, purple shades.

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder (Translucent) Review

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder

Hello again!

I thought I would do a review on this loose powder as I find myself reaching for this everyday lately. When I first tried this out I did not like it and thought it looked cake-y on my skin however that was because I was putting too much on. I changed my brush to a more fluffy one and that helped to apply less and I didn’t have an issue with it being cake-y anymore.

The packaging is okay as the lid does not twist so it could open when you are travelling or if you throw it in your purse. However, I do like the packaging because it holds a lot of product! (65g) and the sifter does not have big holes; you have to shake out the powder in the lid – it doesn’t pour out.

Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder

The shade is suppose to be “translucent” but I wouldn’t agree with that; it is a fair shade – lighter than my skin tone and brightening. I use it to set my undereyes and clean up my bronzer/contour and it works great for that. There are more shades, so if you are medium – dark skin tone I wouldn’t recommend the translucent.

The scent is very strong but I don’t smell it on my face after I apply it so it doesn’t bother me. I would recommend this loose powder because I really liked the effect that it gave me; it blurred my pores slightly and helped brighten my undereyes – which I enjoyed. I also like that it keeps me matte longer than most other powders I have tried. It is also perfect for the “baking” technique because the powder is so fine. I completely agree with the claims that it has on the back of the packaging.

LAFACE PROTÉGÉR Primer Review & Discount Code

Laface Proteger Age Defying Primer

Hello everyone!

This primer claims to fill in fine lines and I was curious to see if it can stop my foundation from creasing in my laugh lines, since that is a problem of mine. It also claims to prolong your face makeup, which I always want because I have an oily t-zone.

Laface Proteger Age Defying Primer

First thing I noticed about this primer is that it has amazing ingredients in it, including vitamin C; which I love putting on my face since it really helps to brighten dull skin. It also states on their website (linked below) that all their products are paraben-free, cruelty free and hypoallergenic. The bottle is also pretty large with 56.7g of product! It is a squeeze out tube.

The texture of this primer feels like a silicon based primer only it feels very moisturizing as well. It is very light on my face and dries down in less than a minute. I focused this product around my mouth and my eyes where I get more creasing. It made my skin feel very soft and velvety and allowed my foundation to glide on and blend much quicker than usual. I followed up with the rest of my face makeup. After several hours I noticed that the creasing in these areas were much less than with other primers I have tried. It didn’t stop the creasing completely but it did help a lot. I would also agree with their claim that it prolongs makeup wear as I noticed that my t-zone was not as oily as it usually gets after 4-5 hours. This was a surprise to me because most silicon-based primers do nothing to control the oil.

Laface Proteger Age Defying Primer

I would recommend this for both dry and oily skin types because it hydrates dry skin but also controls the oiliness, which helped prolong my makeup with fewer touch-ups.

e.l.f. Acne Fighting Foundation Review + Swatch

e.l.f. Acne Fighting Foundation

Hi everyone!

This foundation is targeted for people who have acne because it contains salicylic acid, witch hazel, camphor, tea tree and lastly aloe. I have seen these ingredients on many cleansers, toners, gels, etc. claiming to get rid of acne. I personally do not have much acne; except for a few acne marks which have faded mostly. I also have combination skin; oily t-zone but some dry patches. This review is on the shade “Porcelain”.

This is a full coverage foundation; so it will easily cover any existing acne or any discoloration. A little goes a long way so you don’t need much product. It cancels out any redness and creates a flawless canvas. This has a semi-matte finish that dries down so you can skip the powder if you have drier skin types. I have to powder my t-zone but I use the smallest amount since I don’t need any more coverage. It’s not at all heavy or cake-y; as long as you don’t use much powder on it.

The lasting power is very good and will easily last the whole work/school day. If used with a good primer and setting spray it will stay for the entire day. It stays looking good but if you apply a thicker layer of this foundation it may sink into laugh lines, forehead creases, etc.

The ivory shade looks to be the lightest shade but it looked very pink on their website, so I choose the porcelain shade and I’m glad I did as this one is almost my skin-tone shade however, it does have a slight pink undertone. The swatch below has the product squeezed out of the tube on the bottom and blended out on the top.

e.l.f. Acne Fighting Foundation Porcelain

I really like the squeeze bottle because you don’t have to put your fingers in the product and you can control how much product you want to squeeze out. The packaging is also very travel-friendly because it is slim and light.

I personally think that this foundation is great and would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a full coverage natural-finish foundation.
