I thought I would do a review on this loose powder as I find myself reaching for this everyday lately. When I first tried this out I did not like it and thought it looked cake-y on my skin however that was because I was putting too much on. I changed my brush to a more fluffy one and that helped to apply less and I didn’t have an issue with it being cake-y anymore.
The packaging is okay as the lid does not twist so it could open when you are travelling or if you throw it in your purse. However, I do like the packaging because it holds a lot of product! (65g) and the sifter does not have big holes; you have to shake out the powder in the lid – it doesn’t pour out.
The shade is suppose to be “translucent” but I wouldn’t agree with that; it is a fair shade – lighter than my skin tone and brightening. I use it to set my undereyes and clean up my bronzer/contour and it works great for that. There are more shades, so if you are medium – dark skin tone I wouldn’t recommend the translucent.
The scent is very strong but I don’t smell it on my face after I apply it so it doesn’t bother me. I would recommend this loose powder because I really liked the effect that it gave me; it blurred my pores slightly and helped brighten my undereyes – which I enjoyed. I also like that it keeps me matte longer than most other powders I have tried. It is also perfect for the “baking” technique because the powder is so fine. I completely agree with the claims that it has on the back of the packaging.
