e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Blush (Jet Setter) Review + Swatches

e.l.f. Pressed Mineral Blush Jet Setter

Hi again,

This is a beautiful shade for fall, it is a mauve-y dusty rose that is my go-shade during autumn. It goes with most makeup looks involving deeper plum/purple tones and because the color can be built up, it suits most light-medium skin tones. This review is on the shade “Jet Setter”.

I have done a review on the shade “Sweet Retreat”, which is a great everyday blush. I found the formula to be consistent with these as they are both very buttery and blendable. They last about 4 hours before slowly fading away.

The packaging is travel-friendly; it is light and sleek and it also has a see-through lid which makes it easier to find the shade you are looking for.

This blush is fairly pigmented and has a matte, almost satin finish on the skin.

Overall, I recommend these blushes because they have a natural finish and a great formula. I only wished they would last a bit longer.

Younique Beachfront Bronzer (Sunset) Review + Swatches

Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

 Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

Hi everyone,

This bronzer is very flattering for fair skin with yellow or neutral-undertones. It reminds me a lot of the Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer but less golden and more yellow. It is not orange or red based and gives a very natural glow-y look because of the shimmer in it. This review is on the shade “Sunset”, there are two other shades available as well.

This powder is fairly pigmented but the shade is light however it can be built up to a darker shade. (the swatches below are several swipes) It makes it easier for those with fair skin tones to not over-do the bronzer and end up looking muddy. It is extremely blend-able and even if you apply too much at first, it blends out very well. The product itself feels very buttery and silky which is why blending it out takes little effort.

Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

The lasting power is decent; it easily lasts a whole work/school day with some fading by the end of the day. One side is suppose to be shimmery and the other side matte, but when I swatched them they both contained shimmer. The left side is slightly lighter and more shimmery, the right side is darker and more brown.

Overall, I really enjoyed this bronzer because it looks very flattering and natural and that is somewhat difficult to find for those with fair skin tones.

W7 Chunky Cheeks Cream Blush Review + Swatches

W7 Chunky Cheeks London

Hi everyone!

This cream blush has been one of my most used this month! This shade is a gorgeous peachy pink that has a very natural finish.

The packaging is very simple; it is a twist-up chubby stick. It is very light and definitely travel-friendly as it is sturdy and sleek. With this type of packaging I find that running a duo-fiber brush on the product and then applying it to the cheeks looks the best as it does not move the foundation underneath. It also allows you to slowly build up the intensity rather than applying it from the stick, which would make blending more time consuming.

W7 Chunky Cheeks London

The formula is very creamy, blend-able, and it lasts for a descent amount of time on my cheeks. With cream blushes, I find that the wear time is very short at around 3 hours they disappear. This lasts longer than the average cream blush, I find this to last about 5-6 hours with some fading from the 4th hour. It will last even longer if set with a powder blush but sometimes I prefer the satin finish that this gives.

This shade is very flattering on my skin tone, the pink is more pronounced once it is applied on my cheeks; the swatches pull more of the peach shade. It looks very natural and is perfect for those that want a soft natural flush.

L’oreal Lip liner (Lasting Plum&Reds) Review + Swatches

L'oreal crayon petite lip liner reds

Hello again!

These lip liners are some of my favourites in my collection. They are very creamy, water-resistant, and the shades are beautiful!

This red shade is a true red that leans a little towards pink (swatches below). This shade looks good all year-round; it is perfect for a fresh summer red or a classic red in the winter. This liner just glides on; it is so creamy that I use it as a lipstick sometimes. It is also water resistant and stays on very well all day with some fading after a few hours. This formula is the “Crayon Petite” line.

L'oreal colour riche lasting plum

This shade is from the “Colour Riche” line and it is a anti-feathering liner and sharpener on the other end. This formula is a touch less creamy but it is still comfortable to wear as a lipstick. It also stays on longer and wears better than the red formula. I love this shade; it is a plum that has some brown in it. This is a shade that anyone can wear; whether you have a very light or dark skin tone. This formula does not smudge as easily as the red shade.

“Reds” is on the top and “Lasting Plum” is on the bottom.

St. Ives Mineral Clay Mask, Green Tea, and Apricot Scrub Review

St. Ives Mineral Clay Mask.Apricot Scrub.Green Tea Scrub

Hi everyone,

These St.Ives scrubs and mask are very useful for deep cleaning your skin as well as prepping it for makeup. My face makeup has looked so much better since I discovered these and I will forever repurchase them!

Starting with the Mineral Clay Firming Mask; it is a cooling thick formula which pleasantly smells like mint. It claims to visibly firm and tighten skin however, I don’t notice much firming after the application since I do not have sagging skin to begin with. I do notice that it deep cleans my pores; it seems to clean out most of my blackheads and my skin feels very smooth after using this just once. It starts to dry after 5-10 minutes and about 10-15 minutes I rinse it off with warm water. I use this once a week usually on the weekends so that there is no left-over makeup in my pores from the week.

I use the Green Tea Scrub almost daily because it is gentle however, keep in mind that I do not have sensitive skin. This scrub claims to clear blackheads and has oil-free salicylic acid which fights acne. It also has natural exfoliants and is paraben and sulfate free.  It has very tiny beads in it which you can’t see but you can definitely feel. The smell is hard to describe, the best way that I can describe it is that it smells like a really fresh shampoo; it smells the best out of the three.

Lastly, the Apricot Scrub has been repurchased by me 3+ times because I love it so much. After the 2nd repurchase I realized that it wasn’t the same formula; it use to be very harsh before but now the exfoliants are fewer and smaller. I discovered that the Apricot scrub has different formulas, I believe that I purchased either the “blemish control” or “fresh skin” formula, which was harsher. I didn’t mind that formula but I could only use it once a week but this formula (“timeless skin”) can be used about 2-3 times a week without irritating my skin. The scent of both formulas are the same, again hard to describe; it smells very fresh and pleasant.

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow (Copper) Review + Swatches

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow

Hi everyone,

I’m back with another eye shadow from Prestige cosmetics. I just want to state that these shadows have exceeded all of my expectations; they are definitely in my top favourites. This review is on the shade “Copper”.

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow

This is described as a metallic shadow that will give you a foiled eye look. The formula of this shadow is extremely buttery, blend-able, and the pigmentation is intense! It does not have any fallout during application or throughout the day, it sticks on to the skin. It does not fade much during the day and looks about the same after 9 hours of wear. The “Total Intensity” line is made to be long-lasting and this shadow definitely lived up to that.

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow

This shade is a true copper; it is highly metallic. I love these shades for the Autumn/Fall season, paired with a warm brown in the crease, this shade really makes any eye color pop. The swatches below do not do this shadow any justice!

I highly recommend the Total Intensity shadows; they are comparable to much higher-end brands. I have no complaints with these shadows whatsoever; they perform exactly as described.

L’oreal Brow Stylist Plumper (med-dark) Review + Swatch

L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper

Hi again!

This is an amazing drugstore brow gel; I have been reaching for this everyday since purchasing it. This review is on the shade “medium to dark”.

The applicator does not apply too much product on at once and the bristles are perfect for even application when you brush gently through your brows. The brush itself is a good size and will not cause a mess, which is rare as most drugstore brow gels have a huge brush which makes application a nightmare.

L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper

The formula itself is not too wet and dries down within seconds; it does not smudge at all once dried. It does not make your brow hairs “crunchy” but it does hold them in place very well throughout the day. The formula is not waterproof however, if it does come into contact with water it flakes off rather than running or smudging.

The shade is perfect as it leans towards an ashier brown rather than a warm-toned (orange, red) brown. It can be built up to a darker brown.

L'oreal Brow Stylist Plumper

I highly recommend this if you are looking for a tinted brow gel that looks natural and stays all day. This also comes in transparent and a “light to medium” shade.
