This brand interested me because their products are vegan and they are paraben, gluten, fragrance, and cruelty-free. The World Burn Congress, Cancer Wards, and the Medical Community recognize Sweet LeiLani Cosmetics.
Starting off with the foundation (Island Goddess Prep, Prime & Powder), I found the formula to be very unique – it is more so liquid than cream and it quickly turns to powder once blended on the skin. I have combination-oily skin and thought this worked great because it set quickly and did not move around. You wouldn’t even need to set this with powder. It sits beautifully on the skin; it has a matte finish. It has medium coverage but can be built to full coverage. It comes in a glass bottle which is not ideal (no pump) but it is fairly easy to pour out.
This is in the lightest shade; Ocean Surf, which is described as an ivory shade with warm undertones. This was light enough for me but it did have a slight pink (cool) undertone which is not what I usually reach for since I have a neutral undertone. Blended out on top and poured on the bottom.
This brand also has a cream foundation (Skin Care Cover Foundation) and it comes in a tin packaging. I tried to use this as a concealer but it was too thick and cake-y for under my eyes. I instead used this on blemishes and scars and I really liked the full coverage that it gave. It is a thick cream consistency.
The shade I got is “Bronzed Bodies” and it is the lightest shade available as well.
Next, is a light/translucent powder (Hawaiian Highlight) which is a very finely milled pressed powder. I love using this all over to set my face and it does not look cake-y at all. It does not contain any shimmer or glitter; it mattifies very well. There is only one shade of this “highlight” named Sky. There is no swatch for this since it is translucent.
This eyeshadow duo (Seaside Mineral Dual Jewels) is extremely pigmented and buttery; I love the formula of this.
They have many different shades, this duo is named “Jelly Fish”. They both contain shimmer.
Lastly, is a lipstick (Hawaiian Petals Lip Plumping Lip Shade) which claims to be plumping however, I did not notice much of that. It is very creamy and moisturizing; does not drag on my lips.
The shade “Coral Reef” is a peachy, nude shade that is a touch frosty. I love the shade but the frosty aspect is not my favourite.
Overall, I like these products and other than the shades/colors I thought the formula of all of them was amazing. The liquid foundation really has a unique formula and I would imagine that those with an oily skin type will love it. The eyeshadow also has a nice buttery formula; I would love to try more shades. The pressed powder is also great for carrying in my purse to touch up since it is extremely light, it does not cake-up.

Hey! Thanks for reading my review of the benefit “how to look the best at everything” kit!
Just gave a few of your blogs a read, and this one sparked my eye – what exactly about this foundation makes you think oily skin types will love it? I have super, super oily skin – always on the lookout for something that might suit me!

This foundation instantly transforms to a powder consistency when blended in which somewhat controls the oils rather than putting on a greasy foundation that never sets; it would just be a mess and the makeup would be sliding around all day.

Oh gosh don’t even get me started on that – I used to wear this awful foundation that promised it would mattify my skin, however it was filled of oils and god knows what that just made my face look streaky and like I could cook chips off it. Dx
I’ll have to put them on my “to-try” list, do you have a code or anything with that website as they sent you the samples so that they know if I do buy something it came from your review?

Yes so did I! It was horrible and as soon as I touched my skin it would smudge 😳 I don’t have a coupon code from them but I will see if I can get one to get some % off 🙂
