Essence Longlasting Lipstick (All You Need Is Red) Review + Swatches

Essence Longlasting Lipstick

Hi everyone!

I usually wear red lipsticks during winter and since this claims to be long-lasting, I was curious as to how well it would hold up during the day. This review is on the shade “All You Need Is Red”.

Essence Longlasting Lipstick

The product itself has a light, artificial berry scent which is mild and pleasant in my opinion. The formula is amazing as it is extremely moisturizing without being greasy; I do not need to wear a lip balm underneath. It is not transfer-proof but it doesn’t make a mess; it won’t smear or bleed outside of the lines, unless you wipe it off. It stays on for a decent amount of time with some fading (5+ hours) but will completely wear off when eating.

This lipstick is not extremely pigmented, I’m not sure if it is this particular shade, but it can be built up with a couple of swipes. This red shade has an orange, warm undertone as opposed to a cool, pink undertone.

I love the formula and lasting power of this lipstick, I would recommend this especially since Essence is a very affordable brand. I would love to try more shades!

e.l.f. Moisturizing Foundation Stick Review + Swatches

e.l.f. Moisturizing Foundation Stick

Hello again!

I got these foundation sticks in hope of using them to contour and highlight. This review is on the shades ivory and almond.

These sticks are very travel-friendly since you can just glide them on your face and blend it out. They are very lightweight and the product rolls up as you twist the bottom.

Even though these are described to be “moisturizing”, I found the formula rather drying and I have an oily to combination skin type. For this reason, I’m unable to use the ivory shade since it exaggerates my pores and makes my skin look very cake-y and blotchy. However, I love using the almond shade where I would apply bronzer and I find that it blends out well and looks good.

I recommend the darker shades for contouring/bronzing but wouldn’t recommend this to be used as a foundation as it sits horribly on my t-zone.

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation Review + Swatches

Bourjois Air Mat Foundation

Hi everyone!

I have an oily t-zone and when I saw that this foundation offered an “undetectable matte finish” with a 24 hour hold; I had to try it out. This review is on the shades “02 Vanilla” and “03 Light Beige”.

I like the squeeze tube packaging since it isn’t messy and I can control how much product I want. It is also very light and sleek; perfect for travel.

The formula is very creamy and has a strong but pleasant scent. Upon application I noticed that it blends out well and dries quickly. It transforms to a powdery matte finish with a medium coverage. The lasting power is my favourite thing about this foundation; it easily lasts the entire day and controls my oils very well, I have actually found myself not needing to blot more than once the entire day! However, this will cling to any dry skin that you have and exaggerate it so I would not recommend this for dry skin types.

Left to right: 02 Vanilla and 03 Light Beige.

Both shades have a strong yellow undertone and are slightly too dark for me.

Younique Stiff Upper Lip (Lip Stain) Review + Swatches

Younique Stiff Upper Lip (Lip Stain)

Hello again!

I have tried a bunch of lipstains in the past but wasn’t too keen on the subtle color that they gave. However, this lipstain can be layered for a more intense color! This review is on the shade “Shy”, which is the lightest shade.

This has a watery, thin consistency and because of that it does make it a bit more difficult to apply evenly on the lips. It applies better when my lips are exfoliated otherwise the dry patches will look darker. With one layer, you get a light pink shade and with 3 layers you can get a medium pink.

One layer swatched below in both pictures.

As soon as it is applied, it dries very quickly and will stain your lips; it does not transfer or smudge at all. It slowly fades throughout the day starting from the inner part of my lips. It can be removed completely with a makeup remover/wipe.

Revlon Photoready Stick Concealer Review + Swatch

Revlon Photoready Stick Concealer

Hi everyone!

This is a great “spot” concealer; it is amazing to use on pimples, scars, or any spots. I believe this has SPF 20, as I’ve seen it online but am not sure as it doesn’t say so on the packaging. This review is on the shade 001 Fair.

The formula is very creamy and melts into the skin so it doesn’t exaggerate a dried out pimple but covers it perfectly, keeping in mind that I have an oily skin type. However, I did not like this on the under eyes because it felt a little drying and it creased. I like how it comes in a stick form so I can use it directly on a spot or with my finger on a pimple.

The shade is also a perfect match for my skin tone, not to light to highlight a spot.

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow (Bronze & Sterling) Review + Swatches

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Bronze Sterling

Hello again!

These single shadows are extremely pigmented, metallic, and will give a gorgeous foiled eye look. I have done a review on the shade Copper here. This review is on the shades “Bronze” and “Sterling”.

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow Bronze Sterling

As I mentioned in my other review; these shadows are very buttery and blend-able. The formula is unique as it sticks to my eyelids and does not have any fallout during application or throughout the day. The “Total Intensity” line claims to be long-lasting and these shadows are extremely long lasting; I did not notice any fading by the end of the day.

One swipe with no primer underneath; you can see the intensity and pigmentation!

Prestige Total Intensity True Metals Eyeshadow Bronze Sterling

I love and highly recommend these Total Intensity shadows; they are comparable to much higher-end brands. They perform exactly as described and far beyond my expectations!

TYRA Beauty Light & Sculpt in a Stick Review + Swatches

TYRA Light in a Stick Sculpt in a Stick

Hi everyone!

These two sticks are amazing for a natural glow/contour. Since they are both a cream formula, they melt into the skin. This review is on the contour and highlight duo in “light”.

The packaging of these creams are very convenient as you can literally draw on your highlight and contour and blend out with a brush or sponge. They twist up and the plastic packaging is very light; great for travel.

Both the contour and highlight stick have a very creamy formula that blends out extremely well. The lasting powder is amazing especially when set with a powder; it will easily last the entire day; even on oily skin types.

The shades are very flattering on lighter skin tones. The contour shade is not too warm or cool and can be used as bronzer and/or contour. The highlight shade is gorgeous; it has very fine shimmer in it and is very reflective. I really like how they have this duo in “deep” as well.
