Younique Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner Review + Swatches

Younique Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner

Hi everyone!

I have been experimenting with different liquid liners lately and I thought that this one was a dud until it started to work after a few tries. This review is on the shade “Perfect”.

Younique Moodstruck Precision Liquid Eyeliner

This is a felt tip liner that is not flexible at all so it is a bit difficult to draw a wing but it does make lining the eye easier since it helps keep the line straight. When I first received this it wasn’t working at all; the felt tip was dried out and hardly any product was coming out however, after a few times of attempting to apply my liner it worked and it came out pigmented and very black!

Swiped once on top and twice on the bottom. It has a demi-matte finish; it is not completely dry in the swatches below.

The formula is amazing; it is smudge, transfer and water resistant which is great since my winged eyeliner seems to fade a bit during the day. I hope that it continues to work as well as it does now and doesn’t get dried out again.

e.l.f. Mineral Booster Loose Powder (Sheer) Review

e.l.f. Mineral Booster Sheer

Hello again!

I just received a notification that it has been exactly one year since I started my blog! I can’t believe that time has gone by so fast! Today’s review is on this e.l.f. loose powder that I purchased a while ago and even though it is discontinued, I have seen it available online (eBay & Amazon). This review is on the shade “Sheer”.

e.l.f. Mineral Booster Sheer

The packaging is simple; a plastic container with a twist off lid however, the sifter doesn’t do a great job of keeping the product in the container.

The formula is very finely milled and keeps me matte for a good amount of time however, the “sheer” shade has a pink hue which definitely translates on the face. If used sparingly it isn’t noticeable but if you try to build the powder, which I do since my t-zone is very oily, it turns my skin pink. It also doesn’t perform well as an under eye setting powder as it settles into the folds under my eyes.

Overall, I think this powder is fine for lightly dusting on light – medium skin tones. I believe it would work better for medium skin tones because the pink hue won’t be as noticeable. I liked this because it does not contain talc and is corn starch-based.

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist Review

Tatcha Luminous Dewy Skin Mist

Hello everyone!

I love the look of fresh dewy skin but struggle with an oily t-zone and some dry patches. This is recommended for dry skin types but I have figured out a way to use it on oily skin types as well!

The packaging is gorgeous; 40mL of product is housed in a luxurious ombre blue/purple glass bottle with gold detail. It isn’t ideal for travelling but looks nice on display. The spray nozzle is amazing; produces the most fine even mist that won’t disturb your makeup.

The formula is extremely moisturizing and so I use it as a moisturizer instead of a setting spray since I have an oily skin type; I don’t want an all-over dewy look. It absorbs very quickly and moisturizes without leaving a greasy film on my face. The product has a light fresh scent that I find to be pleasant. I have sprayed this over my makeup and it was fine until my natural oils started to come through and I become too dewy/greasy looking.

Tatcha products are formulated without parabens, mineral oil, synthetic colors/fragrances, etc.

LA Splash Studio Shine Lip Lustre (Dia De Los Muertos Collection) Review + Swatches

La Splash Studio Shine Lip Lustre

Hi everyone!

These are definitely the most unique liquid lipsticks I own! I will be reviewing the duo-chrome shade (Catrina, right), the gold/bronze shade (Guadalupe, left) and the deep plum shade (Valentina, middle).

These colors do not look like they do in the packaging; the Valentina shade looks similar but the other two are completely different. I like the cartoons on the handles; they are unique and different from the other liquid lipsticks they sell.

The formula of Guadalupe and Catrina are mousse-y and creamier than Valentina, which is more liquid and applies slightly streaky. I found this formula to be similar to the Smitten Lip Tint Mousse that I have reviewed here. Similar to their other formulas; these are water and smudge proof, non-transferable but do fade away when eating greasy foods.

Left to right: Guadalupe (metallic gold), Catrina (duo-chrome teal/plum) and Valentina (cranberry/plum).

BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector (Champagne Pop) Review + Swatches

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector

Hello again!

I love the look of glowy healthy skin especially in the summer time and since I have an oily skin type I usually stick to powder highlighters instead of liquid or cream. This review is on the shade “Champagne Pop”, which is a collaboration with Youtuber Jaclyn Hill. This was limited edition when it came out but BECCA cosmetics made it a permanent shade!

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop

The packaging is the same as the other pressed Shimmering Skin Perfectors; I like how sturdy and compact it is. It has a decent mirror on the inside and contains 8g of product; which is more than the average highlighter.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Champagne Pop

The formula is extremely pigmented and feels quite buttery and smooth; not at all powdery. I like using this with a very flimsy fan brush so that I can build it up slowly since it is very intense. It blends effortlessly; if you do apply too much it can easily be fixed. This formula is amazing; it lasts for the entire day with some fading after about 8+ hours.

I have a neutral-fair skin tone and this isn’t too dark on me or too peachy where the color would be obvious. I think this shade would suit a wide range of skin tones.

Viva Health Vitamin C & Hyaluronic Acid Serum Review

Viva Health Bio Brightening C Serum Pure Hyaluronic Acid Eye and Face Serum

Hi everyone!

These serums have made my skin glow and look very healthy; it is also a bonus that they are natural and organic! This review is on the Bio Brightening C Serum (left) and the Pure Hyaluronic Acid Eye and Face Serum (right).

I usually use the vitamin C serum at night because it has a greasy formula that doesn’t fully absorb into my oily skin. I love using vitamin C serums and creams because they help brighten the complexion and lighten acne scars which I currently have a few of. This product also has a scent which is neither pleasant nor bothersome for me.

Hyaluronic Acid serums are used to deeply hydrate the skin, giving it a healthy glow and plumping the skin. This formula is very thin and quickly absorbs into my skin so I would use this during the day. Even though I have an oily skin type, I always moisturize so that my makeup sits well on my face and because not applying moisturizer will make my skin produce even more oil.

Overall, I like both of these serums as they have given me a healthier complexion by brightening, hydrating, and evening out my skin texture. Viva Healthy products are paraben, GMO, gluten, artificial fragrance and colorant free.

Naughty Cosmetics Orgazmic Black Mascara Review

Naughty Cosmetics Orgazmic Mascara

Hi everyone!

Mascara is probably the makeup product that I purchase most often since I tend to go through them fast and can only really keep them for 3 months or so. Naughty Cosmetics is a fairly new brand and this is the only product that they currently offer.

The formula is on the dry side so it can flake if I layer on too much product; I do about 2 coats with no wait time since the formula will completely dry in a few seconds on the lashes. I like how this formula keeps my lashes curled and holds them well throughout the day. This mascara has an intense black shade.

Naughty Cosmetics Orgazmic Black Mascara

I’m not sure if it is the brush or the formula that makes clumping impossible; no matter how much you layer on. It may be because of the fast drying formula which doesn’t let much product coat the lashes. The brush is fairly large and has long bristles; I love how it combs and separates my lashes so well! It also has bristles on the tip so it makes applying mascara to the inner and outer corners of my eyes super easy.

Overall, I liked that it separated my lashes and not clumped them together and that it held the curl. However, I didn’t like that I was unable to layer on enough product to get a dramatic look and that the formula was too dry.
