This serum claims to diminish fine lines/wrinkles, brighten skin tone/even dark spots, lift and firm and lastly improve radiance and texture. It’s an all-in-one serum that definitely got my attention because it’s suppose to target your specific skin concerns.
I like the packaging because I prefer a pump for serums over a dropper – it is airtight and will stay fresh a lot longer. The serum itself has a slip to it – it isn’t a liquid that is runny but sort of like a serum and moisturizer in one. It instantly plumps the skin after just one application and it makes your skin super smooth and soft. Before I get into the results; I’m in my mid twenties with some acne scarring, slightly uneven textured skin, fairly noticeable pores and a very oily complexion.
After about 6 weeks of daily use I noticed a huge difference – 90% of my acne scars were gone and the other 10% were hardly noticeable! I noticed that my skin looked overall more radiant and plump; it looks very hydrated and healthy. It also helped with my skin texture – I felt much more confident without foundation because I had a healthy glow. I don’t struggle with lines and wrinkles or sagginess so I can’t comment about that but since it deeply hydrates I would imagine that it would lessen the look of lines and wrinkles.
Overall, I really enjoyed this serum but it is on the expensive side however, if your desperate for a serum that can lighten acne spots – this is my recommendation to you.

I know we’ve all been curious about Younique products from seeing the pictures and videos on social media and I love being able to try out super hyped products and put them to the test!
First off, I like the squeeze tube packaging and how thin and sleek it is. It has a matte and glossy black tube which looks very high-end and luxurious. On the website you don’t get a list of product claims but they have a fairly brief description of how this primer will give you velvety soft skin that will keep your makeup intact all day long. I’ve tried this out everyday for almost 2 weeks and I have a fairly decent idea of the pros and cons of this primer.
Before I get into that I want to point out that I have extremely oily skin with somewhat noticeable pores on my nose and cheeks. I do get some texture on my skin from time to time but I haven’t had any breakouts in a while (thanks to the Clinique 3 step). This primer has a very moisturizing formula along with that silicon texture which feels almost greasy but then sets to a nice smooth base. It gives a very slight blurring effect but you don’t notice how smooth it makes your skin until you apply the foundation on top. The foundation blends effortlessly and my skin looks smooth and almost flawless. I don’t notice it mattifying or giving my foundation a dewy glow – it doesn’t change the finish of your foundation – which I like.
I don’t expect a miracle to happen with any primer or foundation in keeping my skin matte – since my face oil-production is uncontrollable and this primer doesn’t claim to do that. I didn’t feel that this primer gave my makeup longevity since my oily skin tends to break apart my foundation after about 5 hours but with some blotting sheets and powder my makeup was intact for the whole work day.
Overall, I think this is a really nice primer for normal to dry skin types (tested on mom); for those of us with oily skin – the search will remain for the miracle primer that can control oil.

I was super curious to try a different formula of lipstick from MAC and this looked interesting because it is a mineral lipstick that claims to be super moisturizing.
I love the packaging; it is a bit bulky but it has a magnetic closure and looks sleek with the matte and shiny black. I also love wearing deep purple/wine shades in the winter and wanted something moisturizing that wouldn’t suck the life out of my lips in the colder months.
The lipstick itself feels extremely balmy and is very soft and creamy however, the pigment is underwhelming. In one swipe (see picture below) I get a very light uneven pigmentation; there is a lot of product on my hand but it’s a clear balm. However it can be built up to a nice shade but the amount of product on the bottom swatch is crazy it would feel so weird on the lips and not to mention bleed outside of the lines at the first movement.
I do like the feeling of this and perhaps this formula doesn’t work well with such a dark shade. I could see this working much better with a nude shade. It claims to be long lasting but this formula doesn’t stay on very long, however this dark shade does leave a nice pink stain.
Unfortunately this formula in this shade was a let-down for me; I was expecting much more. e.l.f. has great mineral lipsticks that are super pigmented and moisturizing and not to mention only $3.00!

I’ve been obsessed with lip liners lately; I’ve purchased a bunch over the last month or so and was beyond excited when Influenster sent me these two lip liners and mini lipsticks from bite beauty complimentary to try out and review!
I prefer pencil lip liners over mechanical ones; I find they are creamier – not sure if that is because the product is exposed rather than covered like pencil liners. Anyways, creaminess is a must because I like to fill in my lips with the liner and sometimes I won’t bother with lipstick and just wear the liner on it’s own. I really like the matte look it gives and the longevity that I get is great!
These lip liners are super creamy and can definitely be worn on its own – they glide on; they don’t drag at all. They are super pigmented so there is no need to layer. The longevity is fairly decent as well; they aren’t transfer-proof so they will wear off when eating but they last fairly well.
Both of these shades (swatched below) are gorgeous – the nude is very flattering on me since I have very fair skin; it doesn’t wash me out because of the pink/slightly peach undertone. The dark shade is super vampy and I never shy away from a bold lip – I would wear this to death during the autumn/winter months. I like how you can just put on some mascara and a bold lip color makes it look like you spent time doing your makeup.
Top to bottom: Bite Lip Pencil in #020, Bite Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Honeycomb, Bite Lip Pencil in #044 and lastly on the bottom the Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Lipstick in Whiskey.
I tried the mini matching lipsticks (Amuse Bouche) with the liners and I really like how pigmented they are. Their both super creamy and have a semi matte formula. Similar to the lip liners, these aren’t transfer proof and will wipe away but they last for a decent time. The lipsticks have a pleasant scent to them – it’s not over-powering but if you are sensitive to that; it may not be your cup of tea.
Overall, I really enjoyed the formula and shade of both the lip liners and the lipsticks; I would strongly recommend both.

Disclaimer: I received these products from Influenster for reviewing purposes. All my reviews are my honest opinion whether I bought the product(s) or it was sent to me.
Finding the right moisturizer has always been difficult for me because I have an oily skin type and therefore I don’t want an oily, greasy formula.
I first tried the lotion (meant for dry to very dry skin types) in a gift with purchase and this stuff is very greasy! It made me so shiny – I could see the film of oil on my face. However, I did notice that my skin was noticeably soft after just one use of this but I had to stop using it because of the oil. Months after that first impression I noticed that Clinique has a gel formula that is oil-free and meant for oily skin types. I went for it and got the large 125 ml size with the pump and I’m so glad I did – this stuff is amazing! It is the perfect moisturizer for oily skin types; it’s light weight, moisturizing without the oil, makes my skin incredibly soft and smooth and lastly, it has a slight tackiness to it right after application which makes it the perfect base for makeup.
Clinique is known for having fragrance-free products and their formulas are made for sensitive skin. I have been using this for months now and I have not broken out, the (natural product not perfume) smell is not strong but it is definitely detectable however, it doesn’t bother me at all. I love that the formula absorbs fairly well and doesn’t sit on my skin or clump together when I apply foundation on top.
I see myself repurchasing this many times and this is the first moisturizer I would recommend to anyone that asks me. I would recommend the entire Clinique 3 step system (foaming face wash, clarifying lotion and this moisturizer); they are affordable but very effective in helping me get rid of textured skin, acne, and redness.
