Indi Beauty Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub Review

Indi Beauty Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub

Hi everyone!

I love wearing matte lipsticks but absolutely hate how they apply when my lips are dry – the lipstick clings to every dry patch and exaggerates every single bump. Exfoliation is a MUST if you are going to apply a liquid lipstick!

Indi Beauty Buttercream Antioxidant Lip Scrub

This is the first of the 5 posts that I will be putting up this week. Each review will be of a mini travel-sized product and my first impression(s) of it.

Starting off with the packaging; it is very standard for a lip scrub – simple container with a twist off cap. The product smells like a delicious cake! The consistency is very thick and fairly abrasive which helps remove dead skin in seconds. It is also very oily which leaves my lips super soft even when I wipe the product away. It gets rid of the dead skin and hydrates within a few seconds of rubbing it on my lips.

On the website it says that you can use this to remove long wearing/liquid lipstick – I would imagine that it would take it off fairly easy since it contains almond, avocado and Vitamin E oil. This product also contains Organic Sugar and beeswax (therefore not vegan).

I really do enjoy this lip scrub and will definitely be finishing it up soon!

Estee Lauder The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Moisturizer Review

Estee Lauder The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Moisturizer

Hello again!

I can’t control myself when I see a mattifying moisturizer and this one was even more intriguing because it claims to work as a mattifying primer as well.

On the website this product claims to blur the look of pores, reduce shine, smooth skin, and helps control pore-clogging oil with Salicylic Acid. It contains Vitamin C, Caffeine and Bisabolol which calms skin. On top of that it is oil-free, non-acnegenic, Dermatologist and Ophthalmologist tested.

Estee Lauder The Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Moisturizer

Before we get in to how this worked for me I like to start with the packaging. I really like squeeze tubes; you don’t have to dip your finger in product and it is clean and compact. It’s also very light weight and sleek which makes it easy to store when travelling. I also like the white and silver packaging with a hint of blue; the packaging doesn’t look cheap at all.

The product itself is a white opaque cream and is very light-weight; feels almost like a gel consistency but not quite. The scent is mild and fresh and not bothersome or floral. When I rub this into my skin I feel it slightly mattifying but it doesn’t leave my skin completely matte. I need to follow up with a pore filler because this doesn’t really minimize my pores however, it does give me an instant radiance/brightening effect while removing excess oil. This can look great on no makeup days and when layered under foundation it sits nicely; doesn’t roll up or look cakey which is a problem that I have had with mattifying bases. It does prolong the time that I tend to get really oily and want to blot but it doesn’t eliminate the need to blot.

Overall, I like this product but it doesn’t live up to the claims that it makes. However, I have to mention that I’m very oily – more so than the average person!

Tony Moly I’m Real Aloe Mask Sheet Review

Tony Moly I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet

Hi everyone!

Before I begin with the review I want to let you know that next week I will be posting a review everyday Monday to Friday. Each review will be of a mini travel-sized product that I think deserves a review on my blog and that I want to let you guys know about!

Now, lets continue with the review – I have been seeing these sheet masks from Tony Moly everywhere, in stores and online so I was very curious as to how effective they really are after one application. Each packet contains one sheet mask that is saturated in product. There are many different ones for almost every skin concern and I chose the hydrating Aloe.

The sheet mask itself is very nice; it sits well on the skin and has slits which can adjust to fit whether you have a short or long face. The mask is extremely saturated so you have to place a towel on your chest otherwise the product will drip and run down your face. The scent is very mild and pleasant; not at all overwhelming or bothersome which is very important since it needs to sit on the skin for 20 – 30 minutes. After removing the mask I massage the product into my skin and let it absorb. I instantly notice that my skin looks very plump and moisturized because of the glycerin, aloe and Hyaluronic acid that it contains.

I really liked the aloe formula and I will definitely be trying out the other sheet masks from Tony Moly. I purchased these masks from eBay for only $2 CAD a piece; I can’t find the seller but if you search this on eBay lots of sellers will come up and you can choose one.

Have you tried any sheet masks recently?

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate Review

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

Hello everyone!

This is a fairly new product from Clinique but I haven’t heard much about it on social media/YouTube. I knew if this was anything like the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief than I would love it!

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

This is described as a water-gel formula that boosts skin’s hydration for a full 24 hours. It also contains antioxidants – the little beads contain Vitamins C and E which is great because I always get the best results with serums/moisturizers that contain Vitamin C. Vitamin C brightens, lightens acne scars and has great anti-aging benefits.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

The packaging is gorgeous; you can also see how much product you still have in the bottle. It contains a pump and is not housed in a jar or dropper type bottle; since it’s airtight the vitamins will stay fresh. I believe this contains hyaluronic acid as well which is the most effective ingredient to combat dryness. It feels very lightweight and refreshing upon application – it can feel a bit tacky if you apply too much; one pump is enough for the entire face.

I definitely feel the hydration and plumpness this gives my skin after each use but it doesn’t give that instant silky feeling that the Moisture Surge Extended gives. I have very oily skin and find that this can definitely replace my moisturizer but for dry skin types I would recommend that you layer a moisturizer on top of this.

Overall, I like how this contains some anti-aging benefits as well as replacing moisturizer for me but I would recommend the Moisture Surge Extended over this because I’m addicted to the instant softness that it gives.

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara Review

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another drugstore mascara review! This one was sent to me by Influenster complimentary for me to try out and give an honest review for you guys!

This mascara confused me – the first couple of times I used it I thought it was dried out and didn’t deposit much product and it didn’t layer at all. I thought it would be preferred by someone who wants natural-looking lashes. However, I left this mascara in the car for a few days and I decided to give it one last try before writing my review and I was shocked that the formula had completely changed. The only guess that I could make regarding why the formula changed is that it was sitting inside of a car for the few hot days and that must have warmed up the product.

The “new” formula is much more wet and is able to layer on pretty well; it gives amazing length and a bit of volume but nothing crazy. I wonder how many people had gotten this mascara in what I believe is the intended wet formula and how many people received it dried up? It makes a huge difference in performance – I went from not using it and throwing it aside to wanting to use this on a daily basis.

The formula itself dries pretty quickly and once it is dry it will not budge! It doesn’t transfer, smudge or flake and looks exactly the same at the end of the day as it did in the beginning. It is a bit harder to remove because it comes off in little pieces or “tubes” rather than melting off like usual non-waterproof mascaras.

Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

The brush is nice; it has long bristles that comb well through the lashes and deposit product evenly. It tapers slightly at the tip so you can reach the inner and outer corners.

Hopefully Revlon can figure out how to prevent this mascara from drying in the tube and when they do I would recommend this for those hot, long summer days!

Have you tried this? Let me know what condition your mascara was down below!

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge Review

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

Hi everyone!

I have never used a sponge to apply makeup in the past and so I didn’t know what I was missing out on until using this.

I always thought the Beauty Blender or this Real Technique sponge was for people that have dry skin (I have very oily skin) as it adds moisture to foundation/powder so I never thought it would change my makeup game until finally trying it out.

Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge

First off, I love the shape of this sponge; it’s perfect for blending out foundation and the flat edge is great for blending out concealer and baking the under eyes. The texture of this sponge is very firm until you wet it and then it becomes very soft and bounces really nicely on the skin.

The first time I tried it I used a foundation that usually looks very heavy and cakey on me and this sponge made it look flawless and fresh! I was shocked, then I continued with my concealer and it blended it out in a few seconds and my under eyes looked moisturized and smooth. I felt really weird putting the sponge in powder to apply to my face but once I blended it into my skin I toke a step back and was shocked that my face makeup never looked better! It also did something to the foundation and powder that helped my makeup look nice and fresh for much longer than usual.

I have also ordered the Beauty Blender and there will be a review soon on that as well, I want to compare the two. I feel so late to the game but better late than never!

Morphe 35O Palette Review + Swatches

Morphe 35O Palette

Hi everyone!

This is my most used palette ever. I completely understand the hype on this because the shades are gorgeous and the quality is really good! It has everything you need in one palette – shimmers/mattes, warm shades/cool shades, light shades/dark shades. All except a matte black which is a bit disappointing.

Morphe 35O Palette

So I’ve had this palette for over a year and just now realized that I did not do a review on this! This is why the palette looks practically untouched in these pictures – I have hit pan on multiple shades currently! I won this in a blog giveaway (link below) and was beyond excited to try it out given the amazing reviews that it had online.

The packaging is fairly decent; it does not include a mirror but it isn’t bad since I’ve had this for over a year and haven’t broken it yet. However, if you drop it on hard wood I can imagine the shadows either coming loose or shattering in the palette.

I really like how they included different types of finishes in one palette; you have matte, satin, shimmer, metallic, and duo chrome. The matte finishes are so blend-able and creamy! The shimmers and metallic finishes can be slightly powdery but I apply them with my finger and that minimizes the fallout. I know there are so many swatches available online but I did a few to give you an idea of the great pigmentation and creaminess of these shadows if you haven’t seen them yet.

A few of the matte shades – swatched with fingers.

These pictures don’t do them justice; they are incredibly gorgeous especially in outdoor lighting.

Overall, I would definitely recommend this palette. I’ve heard Morphe charges a lot on shipping but other than that this is a great buy and I would definitely purchase this once most of the shades are finished.
