Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick Review + Swatches

Bite Beauty Amuse Bouche Liquified Lipstick

Hi everyone,

I have been loving glossy/high shine lipsticks for a while now and was very excited to try these out seeing that they aren’t the traditional liquid lipstick that dry down but an actual liquified lipstick. I have reviewed Bite Beauty’s Amuse Bouche lipsticks and lipliners in the past; if you haven’t seen that click here.

These have such a nice soft touch packaging similar to NARS packaging. It has a little window at the bottom to make it easier when picking a shade from your collection. These have a fairly strong scent which is hard to explain but it does smell nice – just a bit too strong for my liking.

The brush picks up just enough product to give your lips a full coat without double dipping. This product is very pigmented and glides on without tugging on my lips. This isn’t sticky but it does have a heavy feel to it when it’s on the lips. The staying power is decent but I did have to reapply throughout the day after talking/drinking and definitely after eating. It didn’t fully wipe away after eating and drinking but did fade quite a bit.

Swatches top to bottom: Eclair, Flambe, and Demi-Glace.

The Line & Define Lip Primer definitely helped the product last much longer and stopped it from feathering/bleeding outside of my lip line. It has a nice minty scent to it and hydrated my lips; no need for a lip balm.

I liked the formula of these liquified lipsticks I just wish that the scent was a bit toned down and the formula didn’t feel so heavy on the lips. Other than that, I love the pigmentation/rich color and the finish of the product is gorgeous. I liked the Lip Primer as well; definitely noticed a difference when layering it underneath any lip product.

L’Oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer Review + Swatches

L'Oreal Super Liner Black Lacquer

Hi everyone!

This has got to be the best liquid liner I have tried thus far! It is extremely long lasting and stays almost the exact same after 10+ hours of wear. It doesn’t spread or smudge on the inner/outer corners of the eyes which happens to me a lot.

This is a super intense black shade that has a glossy finish. Now, I do wish they had a matte black option because I prefer a matte finish with some makeup looks. The brush is very unique; it is a sponge tip which looks like it won’t do a great job at applying thin lines but surprisingly this liner can give you a very thin/natural or a thick winged-out look. It is very easy to apply; this has to be the easiest liquid liner applicator I have used. It is very flexible but doesn’t spread like the hairs of a brush so it stays very neat and tidy. The only issue is that I have to go back into the product a few times to pick up enough product for a single eye. I also have to work quickly or else the liner will dry on my eyes and the applicator will take off the product when I go back in to straighten it up.

This liner claims to be waterproof and it is unless you rub it off by scratching your eye and then it peels off in one piece. But if left untouched it will remain the exact same for hours.

Overall, this liner has some positive and negative aspects but I really enjoy the longevity and ease of use that I would definitely recommend this liner to anyone that enjoys a glossy black liner look.

Temptu Base Smooth & Matte Primer Review

Temptu Base Smooth & Matte Primer

Hello again!

This little sample sized primer surprised me! It doesn’t look like a primer I would enjoy – it doesn’t feel mattifying or have that silicon texture which fills in the pores but it made my skin look really nice and fresh all day long!

I know that Temptu products are made to be used with an airbrush system but I just applied this with my hands as I would with any primer. There is a very subtle pleasant scent to this and the texture is very unique and a bit hard to explain; it is an opaque white thick gel consistency and once I apply it, it’s a bit tacky and very moisturizing on the skin. I can see it slightly blurring while making my face look extremely smooth! It doesn’t feel heavy or greasy and I definitely see it mattifying my skin upon application – however the mattifying effect is similar to a natural satin matte and not a silicon flat matte. I also got a compliment today that my skin looks smooth which reinforces what I think this primer did for my skin.

My foundation glided on easier than usual and this primer helped control my oil for the entire day! I usually have to blot every four hours or so but with this I went seven hours before blotting. I did get oily throughout the day but not enough to bother me to blot – which is huge!

I really liked this primer and will definitely look into purchasing it. Have you tried any products from Temptu?

MAKE Beauty Moonlight Primer Review

MAKE Beauty Moonlight Primer

Hi everyone!

This primer got a lot of attention on social media simply because it is a sheer black color. I have the mini size and after trying it out a few times I have a few thoughts on it.

MAKE Beauty Moonlight Primer

Besides the fact that this primer is a black color (it contains melanin) it claims to shield against HEV and IR light which comes from computer/tablet/smart phone screens and this light causes premature ageing and skin damage. I was very intrigued that it also claims to diminish the look of pores and fine lines.

Once applied, this primer does not darken your skin tone – it becomes clear. It feels very hydrating and isn’t greasy or heavy at all. I don’t notice it doing much for my pores and will have to follow up with a pore filler before applying my foundation. This primer sits nicely on my skin and under foundation but in all honesty it doesn’t do much in terms of blurring out pores/fine lines or making my foundation stay on longer than usual.

I would apply this as a moisturizer because of the HEV and IR light protection that it gives but would follow up with another primer to give me the look and longevity that I want from my foundation.

Biotherm Aquasource Everplump Review

Biotherm Aquasource Everplump

Hello again!

Welcome back to my second mini review this week – if you haven’t seen the first one; click here. So today I thought I would review this little travel-sized moisturizer which intrigued me because it has the word “plump” in it’s name!

Biotherm Aquasource Everplump

This product claims to do lots of things such as deeply hydrate (contains Hyaluronic Acid), smooth and plump the skin so that fine lines are pushed away and less visible. It is a gel formula which I love because it isn’t heavy/thick or greasy feeling on the skin. It did instantly give me really soft smooth skin which I enjoyed. I don’t have any fine lines so I can’t comment on that claim but it did plump my skin with moisture so I would imagine that it would help minimize the look of fine lines. The only downside to this product is that the scent is very strong and very masculine-cologne type of smell which I do not enjoy rubbing all over my face.

Overall, besides the scent, this is a really nice moisturizer and I like applying this in the mornings before makeup because it absorbs quickly and doesn’t make me any more oily than I usually am.

Have you tried any Biotherm products – if so, what product would you recommend?
