Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer Review + Swatch

Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer

Hi everyone!

I’m back with another Too Faced bronzer review, if you haven’t seen my review of the Chocolate Soleil bronzer click here. These Too Faced bronzers have been revamped with new packaging however, the actual product is the same for the most part. I also purchased this from Winners (T.J Maxx) for about half off!

Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer

I tend to reach for more shimmery bronzers during the summer time because it gives a nice glow on a sunny day out. I actually like the old packaging better then the revamped ones as they are very sturdy but very lightweight and have a pretty gold finish. They contain a nice sized mirror which is great. The Chocolate Soleil bronzer had a nice chocolate cocoa scent but this one does not have a scent at all – which I don’t mind. This bronzer has two shades side-by-side which you can use separately but I always mix the two, hence the blurred division between them.

Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer

I really enjoy this formula because it isn’t too pigmented; which I actually prefer for bronzers. I want to be able to gradually build it up and not worry about applying too much and then try to blend it out. It also blends out very easily without becoming patchy. This bronzer lasts the entire day with very minimal fading.

Too Faced Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer
The lighter shade on the left, deeper shade in the middle, and a mix of both on the right.

The swatches have probably freaked you out and honestly I do not know why they swatch so orange and scary looking. This bronzer is slightly warm toned but it looks very natural on my fair neutral skin tone.

I really enjoy these Too Faced bronzers and would definitely pick up the Milk Chocolate Soleil next time.

Benefit Blush Bar ‘Cheeks on Pointe’ Blush & Bronzer Palette Review + Swatches

Benefit Blush Bar Cheeks on Pointe Blush & Bronzer Palette

Happy Friday Everyone!

I’m super excited for this long weekend – great weather in Canada and lots of fun plans! Hope you all have an amazing long weekend!

I’ve decided to review this palette today because I’ve been reaching for it non-stop! This is the first cheek product that I have used from Benefit and I’m blown away! I’ve heard lots of good reviews on the famous Hoola bronzer and their boxed blushes but they are up there price-wise and I didn’t want to spend $40 on one blush. This palette is almost $80 however, it is an amazing value as you get FULL SIZE products; so technically your paying for two blushes and getting 3 free! My sister gifted this to me and I’m so happy she did because I had my eye on it a while back at Sephora!

Benefit Blush Bar Palette

The packaging is gorgeous! It makes me happy to use it every time, it also contains a nice large mirror and once you open the lid you get a whiff of this pleasant scent that is incredibly hard to describe but it reminds me of summer time. There is an empty space on the bottom right corner so that the brush can fit in there which is good if your planning on travelling with it.

Benefit Blush Bar Blush & Bronzer Palette

The blush textures are really nice; not too soft nor stiff, not too pigmented but pigmented enough. It’s a nice formula for light to medium skintones as the shades are all pretty light and I have to build it up on my cheeks – all except the Galifornia shade which looks good with just one layer. However, I love blushes that are buildable – it allows me to apply and blend it without having any harsh lines or too much color all at once. These are fairly long lasting as well – they last an entire work/school day.

The picture you see above is after a few weeks of using it so it no longer has the gold overspray. I don’t see the point of it anyway because it comes off after using it once and I don’t like chunky gold glitter on my blushes anyway.

The Hoola bronzer is a nice shade that can be built up as well if you want a stronger bronzer. It is neutral in tone so it can be used as a contour shade as well which is nice. I was worried this was going to be too dark on me but it’s perfect once blended out.

Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Benefit Hoola Bronzer

This specific palette is a little hard to find now as it was limited edition but I went ahead and reviewed it anyway because Benefit has come out with the Cheekleaders palettes which include the same products but they have added a highlighter to each palette which is amazing! A highlight just completes this palette as it contains all three products that you use on the cheeks!

I highly recommend this palette and if I didn’t already have this I would definitely purchase the new ones!

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer Review + Swatch

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer

Hi everyone!

I know that this bronzer has been out for a while now and everyone loves it but I thought I would do a review on it today to honor their release of new shades finally!

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer

This bronzer is without any question my favourite from the drugstore, it is super buttery, blendable and smells amazing! It is fairly long lasting on my super oily skin and the color can be sheered out or built up depending on the look your going for.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer

The only complaint I have about this product is the bulky packaging. It contains a weird sponge flat applicator which I’ve never seen before in my life and threw it out instantly. However, because they housed the applicator under the bronzer the packaging is quite bulky. I hope they reduce the compact size and get rid of that worthless applicator.

Physicians Formula Murumuru Butter Bronzer
Physicians Formula Butter Bronzer in “Bronzer”

I have their original “Bronzer” shade and I love the tone of it; it’s not too warm nor too cool. I heard from a friend that the “light bronzer” shade is super orange so I would watch out for that especially if you have a fair skin tone.

Love this bronzer, I have nothing bad to say besides the applicator and packaging. I will definitely be checking out their new shades of this formula!

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer Review + Swatches

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

Hi everyone!

I’ve been enjoying a bunch of Too Faced products lately. Not only are they good quality products but each time I use them it’s an experience of it’s own.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

I found this product at Winners (Tj Maxx in the U.S.). Too Faced recently changed their packaging and I got this product for more than half off! I actually really like this packaging; it’s gorgeous with the gold and the raised design on the front. It feels very sturdy and has a great mirror on the inside.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

This is where the experience begins: as soon as you open it up you get this amazingly rich cocoa scent that makes you think you just opened a box of chocolates. The powder is very silky and pigmented but not too pigmented where it would make it difficult to apply to fair skin tones. It blends really nicely on the skin and I always start with a tiny amount and then build from there.

Too Faced Chocolate Soleil Matte Bronzer

The tone of this bronzer is more cool toned than I’m use to but I ended up really liking this shade on my skin tone. It creates more of a shadow and really slims down the face. The lasting powder is quite decent as well – it doesn’t fade away as quickly as most other bronzers, which is important for me because I have such oily skin and powders seem to melt off.

Overall, I really like this bronzer and I’m so glad I got this for such a good price! More Too Faced reviews coming up as I mentioned, I’m really enjoying their products recently!

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette Review + Swatches

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette

Hey everyone!

Long time no review… I’ve set up a plan and I will be returning to the 3 times a week schedule from today, so that’s really exciting!

Today I have this Tarte palette to review for you and you might be thinking that this palette is discontinued, however, from what I’ve read online this palette has 7 shades out of 10 which are the exact same as the volume 2 palette that Tarte has created to replace this. Also, I’ve seen this palette all over eBay and amazon so if your really wanting this you can still buy it (just make sure the seller is legit).

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette 1

This palette intrigued me because I love matte shades and this seems like a really nice multi-use palette. Starting off with packaging, I really like the inside – it has a golden frame and a HUGE mirror. It’s very sleek – I can see myself travelling with this.

This palette contains 12 shades which can be used for eyeshadow, eyebrow and contour/highlight. I can see this palette working for a variety of skin tones because of the shade range and varying undertones. For the shadows you get 3 lighter “highlighting” shades and 6 lid/crease shades. You also get 3 contour/bronzing shades with cool and warm undertones. I use them all interchangeably for eyeshadow since, for example, the dark bronzer is too dark for me to bronze with. The two shades: dunes and smoke are great for brows because they are cool-toned; I use a mix of both to fill in my brows.

Tarte Clay Play Face Shaping Palette volume 1

The quality of these powders are amazing! They are extremely pigmented and blend out so quickly and easily that it takes little effort to apply. The powders have a pleasant vanilla scent which is noticeable but not too strong. There is no fall out with these powders and they are not powdery. For whatever reason these do not swatch the best (below) they look a bit patchy and powdery but I assure you that they do not do that on the eyes. Now, on to the swatches!

Overall, I highly recommend this palette! I reach for this almost everyday on it’s own or to compliment other colors in different palettes. This is my most used palette because it is so versatile. I would have my eye on the volume 2 if it wasn’t so similar to this one however, I could possibly purchase that one next if I hit pan on these which won’t take too long.

What do you think about this palette? Have you tried the Volume 2? if so let me know down below how the other 5 shades are!

The Estee Edit The Barest Bronzer Review + Swatch

The Estee Edit The Barest Bronzer 01 Light Medium

Hello again!

I have a bunch of products from the Estee Edit line by Estee Lauder and even though this line has been discontinued, I’m still seeing these products online and in some cosmetics stores. I thought I would review this bronzer if you happen to ever stumble upon it.

The Estee Edit The Barest Bronzer 01 Light Medium

What you notice first about this bronzer is the gorgeous packaging; mirrored with a sleek subtle design – it definitely looks luxurious. The pan is huge and contains 16 grams of product, which is a generous amount. It had a spot where there was some glitter over-spray but I brushed it off since that has no effect or purpose on the actual bronzer.

The Estee Edit The Barest Bronzer 01 Light Medium

There were two shade options and since I have a fair skin tone I went with the 01 Light/Medium shade. The color is not too warm nor cool-toned; it’s a nice neutral to warm shade. This looks incredibly natural and is not too pigmented so you don’t have to worry about putting a lot on at once but it is buildable so you can darken it up a bit. It blends out extremely well and looks seamless on the skin. I really enjoy this formula and the shade is super flattering as well.

If you happen to spot this somewhere for a reasonable price I would highly recommend buying it! Have you tried any of the Estee Edit products? Let me know in the comments section!

W7 Chunky Bronzer Review + Swatches

W7 Chunky Bronzer

Hi everyone!

I have loved almost every product I’ve tried from W7; they are affordable and meant to be dupes of high end products. From the look and name of this W7 product I think it is meant to be a dupe of the Clinique Chubby Stick – which I will be doing a review on soon.

I like the convenience of a cream stick bronzer because I can just draw it on and blend it out with a sponge/brush. Also, I find that when I layer a cream bronzer under my powder bronzer it looks more natural because the cream blends out seamlessly.

The packaging is light weight and compact which is travel-friendly but it definitely looks cheap. The product is very creamy but feels slightly greasy and doesn’t blend out nicely. It looks patchy and I felt the need to go in with more product only to get a uniform look which wasn’t happening. The color is a bit orange but I like my bronzer to have some warmth – so I didn’t mind that.

Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this product – even though the price was very reasonable it just isn’t a product that I would reach for again.

Laval Salon Delux Bronzing Powder Review + Swatches

Laval Salon Delux Bronzing Powder

Hello again!

When I saw this bronzer on eBay for only $4 I was extremely curious to try it out! This came in two different shades; Medium and Dark, I will be reviewing the Dark Matt shade.

Laval Bronzing Powder

I have tried an eyeliner from this brand and I liked it so I was expecting this bronzer to be decent in quality. The packaging is very simple; it is similar to the NYC Smooth Skin bronzer. The packaging isn’t luxurious at all but it contains a good mirror. This compact contains 11 grams of product which is a very generous amount.

The product itself is very silky and blends out well but does kick up powder when you put a brush in it. The lasting powder is average; about 5-6 hours or so with some fading. This shade has a red hue which isn’t noticeable in the swatch below but it somehow complements my skin tone (fair neutral). It does not contain any shimmer but has a satin finish.

Sappho Organics Review + Swatches

Sappho Organics

Hi everyone!

I have wanted to try organic, natural, vegan makeup for a while now and this brand has the most amazing ingredients! All of their products are free of harmful synthetic preservatives. This includes parabens, phthalates, gluten, mineral oil, talc and dimethicone.

Starting off with the brushes pictured above; they are extremely soft and do not shed at all. They are all made with bamboo handles and allergy-free fibers. I especially love the blush/kabuki brush for applying any powder (blush, bronzer,etc.).

Sappho Organics

I love that these foundations are actually good for your skin and look really nice as well. For whatever reason, I wasn’t expecting much from them and I was pleasantly surprised by the formula. It is light-weight and feels like a BB cream, It has a light to medium coverage and can be set out in a dish to thicken over night for more coverage as the oils evaporate. It sets fairly quickly to a nice satin finish that looks like fresh skin. The scent is not my favourite but it isn’t bothersome to me. I find that applying this with a densely packed flat top brush looks the best. The bottles also come with a pump and are light-weight (30mL); perfect for travel.

The swatches below are the product slightly spread out, not blended out, to show color. Mia (left) is slighter lighter and has a cooler (pink) undertone. Leisha (right) is a touch darker and has a warm (yellow) undertone.

Sappho Organics

The concealer is very creamy and not at all cake-y or dry on the under eyes. The yellow tint is perfect for hiding blue-ish tones under the eyes (veins). I use a bit of this with my finger and then layer on a flesh-toned or brightening concealer on top and it definitely makes a difference in hiding the blue, purple tones and prolonging my concealer as well.

Sappho Organics

The blushes, bronzers, and eyeshadows all come in the tin so that you can place them in any magnetic palette. Sappho organics has 2 magnetic compacts; I have the stainless steel palette.

Sappho Organics

The steel palette is very sturdy and has a big, clear mirror on the inside. It is a bit heavy since it is steel.

The Bronzer on the top left is “Bronze Goddess 1” and is labeled as a blush. This bronzer is very pigmented and smooth; it easily blends with little effort. It lasts an average amount of time on me; usually by the end of the work/school day it has pretty much faded. The Blush on the top right is “Tutz” and it is a blue-toned light, baby pink. It is pigmented like the bronzer but the shade is very light so I had to build it up in the swatch. This is great for a natural everyday blush. Both shades have a slight sheen/shimmer.

Right to left: Tutz and Bronze Goddess 1

Sappho Organics

The shadows are fairly pigmented and creamy except for the shade Bekitt that was a bit powdery. The shade Norma was the most pigmented and the other 2 darker shades were a touch less intense. They are blendable and last the whole day if used with a primer.

Left to right: Jono, Norma, Bekitt, and Gitte. Swatched without primer.

Sappho OrganicsSappho Organics

Overall, I really enjoyed this brand and knowing that whenever I use these products they are not harming my skin and my health makes me like them even more. Check out the ingredients on their website (link below) to be amazed! This is a Canadian brand.

Younique Beachfront Bronzer (Sunset) Review + Swatches

Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

 Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

Hi everyone,

This bronzer is very flattering for fair skin with yellow or neutral-undertones. It reminds me a lot of the Tarte Park Avenue Princess bronzer but less golden and more yellow. It is not orange or red based and gives a very natural glow-y look because of the shimmer in it. This review is on the shade “Sunset”, there are two other shades available as well.

This powder is fairly pigmented but the shade is light however it can be built up to a darker shade. (the swatches below are several swipes) It makes it easier for those with fair skin tones to not over-do the bronzer and end up looking muddy. It is extremely blend-able and even if you apply too much at first, it blends out very well. The product itself feels very buttery and silky which is why blending it out takes little effort.

Younique Beachfront Bronzer Sunset

The lasting power is decent; it easily lasts a whole work/school day with some fading by the end of the day. One side is suppose to be shimmery and the other side matte, but when I swatched them they both contained shimmer. The left side is slightly lighter and more shimmery, the right side is darker and more brown.

Overall, I really enjoyed this bronzer because it looks very flattering and natural and that is somewhat difficult to find for those with fair skin tones.
