e.l.f. Eyeliner and Shadow Stick in Pearl/Glow Review + Swatches

Hi again!

This eyeliner/eyeshadow stick is perfect for a touch of shimmer in the inner corners, all over the lid, or brow bone. Look below for the swatches; the shades are amazing!

The liner (pearl) side is a thinner stick that is a metallic silver/white shade. This looks nice on the inner corners; it does not smudge or run (unless you rub it). I tried this on my waterline but it does not work well there; it runs down immediately onto my lashes and because of it’s metallic sheen it doesn’t show up well on the water/tight line.

The shadow (glow) side is a very soft pink/champagne shade. I also love using this on my inner corners and find that the quality is better than the liner; it is creamier. I also think this would look nice on the brow bone if you apply a bit and then blend it out slightly. I usually use a matte shade with the tiniest shimmer for the brow bone but sometimes I like a more shimmery brow bone when all of the shadows I used are matte. I tried this on the waterline and just like the liner; it doesn’t perform well there. I also tried this all over the lid and it immediately creased on me. I applied it again but then quickly added shadow on top and I noticed that it didn’t crease after that. It also made the eye shadow pop because it is a light shimmery color and that definitely came through. I wouldn’t rely on it (as a base) for more than a few hours because I have oily lids and always need to prime.

The shadow (glow) is on the left and the liner (pearl) is on the right.

I would recommend this if you are searching for a silver/white and/or pink/champagne shade for the inner corners. It is very easy to apply and the lasting time is decent; I’d say it would last a whole work/school day but you would experience fading after a few hours if it is not set with a shadow.

Have you tried these eyeliner/shadow sticks? – they come in a bunch of different colors!

e.l.f. Makeup Mist & Set Review

I can not believe that I have over 200 followers! Thank you for showing interest in my blog! I honestly do this for fun in my spare time because I love to help my friends and family decide on which products to get so I thought: why not put my input about different products online for everyone? I’m thankful to all the beauty bloggers that write reviews because it has helped me tremendously to not buy products that I won’t like and waste my money. Now for the review…

e.l.f. makeup mist & set

This product is suppose to prolong your makeup but in all honesty I do not think it made much of a difference, at least I didn’t notice any difference. It did however, set my makeup well(“setting” in my powder), but so can my rose water face spray that I mixed myself. (80% water/20% rose water) I actually prefer my rose water because I see a difference in my skin when I use that; it brightens and softens. This has beneficial ingredients in it but at the end of the day, I do not notice the difference like I did with the rose water.

I read reviews about this spray online that it smells bad, but mine does not smell unless you really try to sniff it and even then, it is not bad. Overall, I would recommend this for someone that wants to set or “refresh” their makeup and does not have an oily t-zone like me. (That is why it did not work as well I think) Also, the price is amazing at only $3 for a 60mL bottle.

Do you recommend any makeup setting sprays that prolong makeup wear?

E.L.F. Long-Lasting Lustrous Eyeshadow

Hi again!

I’m so excited for this review today because this little e.l.f. eye shadow is one of the prettiest gold shadows I’ve seen. I have the shade ‘toast’ and it is not yellow nor bronze- but the perfect gold shade. It is a unique formula because it feels like a mousse-cream texture and it applies very smoothly.

I use this mainly on my inner corners because I feel that it does not completely ‘set’ like the smudge pots, therefore it is a bit of a risk using it all over the lids. However, it does stay on the inner corner for 5+ hours.

I really love using this when I do a black/brown smokey eye; it compliments the warm shades very well. I also had this for a while and it has not dried out or changed in texture.

e.l.f. Flawless Finish Foundation Review

ELF Flawless Finish Foundation

Today I’d thought I’d do a review on this foundation because personally, every time I order off of ELF’s website I skip on the foundations because I thought the quality would be lacking and didn’t want to bother with it. However, last time I included this as well as the acne fighting one, and I’m very happy I did!

This foundation is oil-free and contains an SPF of 15. It says on the back of the bottle to “reapply every 2 hours” which leads me to believe the SPF will wear off in 2 hours. It already has such a low SPF in the first place; so not recommended to be used instead of sunscreen.

This foundation is a light to medium coverage, depending on how much/how many layers you put on. And the consistency is not runny and not too thick. The color however is a bit too dark for being porcelain, which is the lightest color they carry, so if you are very pale I would not recommend just because of the shade.

The packaging is very nice, it is thick glass/plastic case that looks high-end. It has 23 grams of product in it, which is less than an average foundation. It has a pump however, the pump sucks up air and you have to be careful that it doesn’t splatter all over your clothes. I found this out the hard way as the pump was working fine at first but one random day (it had to be when I was wearing white), it ruined my top.

Before I talk about how it applies and looks on my face, I want to describe my skin: I have an oily t-zone but dry under eyes, I also have noticeable pores but it’s not bad where it would bother me, and usually primer helps a lot with that. I use to have acne on my cheeks since the end of high school but it has completely stopped a few months ago and now I’m left with a few scars; which just has darker pigmentation than the rest of my skin. (it did not change the texture of my skin).

So, this foundation glides on very well and melts into my skin. I use a flat top brush to apply it. It feels wet at first but within a minute it dries down to an almost matte finish on my face. I would still powder because of my oily t-zone and because this foundation isn’t very long-lasting. I would say it disappears on my face in 4-5 hours. It also tends to crease and sink in my laugh lines. I assumed this foundation would be dewy, I’m not sure why, but all-in-all I do recommend this foundation for days when you want to go out for a few hours. It’s a nice option to have in my makeup collection for $3.00 USD. (I purchased it during 50% off)
