Maybelline Color Elixir (Nude Illusion) Review + Swatches

Hello again!

This is a lip gloss but it is fairly pigmented and can be worn on it’s own or over lipstick/lipliner. This review is on the shade “Nude Illusion”.

I really like the brush because it has a flat side which makes it easy to apply on the bottom lip and a pointed tip so that you don’t apply outside of the lines.

The formula is not at all sticky or too slippery; it feels very hydrating. I also like that it is fairly opaque for a lip gloss so I usually fill in my lips with a nude lip liner and then wear this on top. The staying power is average for a lip gloss about 3-4 hours.

I really like this nude/peachy shade when I’m wearing a smokey eye or on a natural makeup day.

Serpentine Beauty Bold Lip Glaze (Entire Collection) Review + Swatches

Hi everyone!

These lip glazes have such an amazing formula; they look like lip gloss in the tube, perform like lipstick on the lips, and are super pigmented! I have the entire collection to swatch for you in this review.

These smell like sweet vanilla cupcakes, it is a pleasant scent; not sickly. It has a standard doe-foot applicator which I like because it applies the product on well. These last an average amount of time on my lips; roughly 4 hours depending on how much I eat and drink. Some shades leave a bit of a stain on my lips until I wipe the product off similar to a pigmented lipstick.

The formula is not at all sticky, it feels like a hydrating lipstick on my lips and is very light weight. It does not slip or feather outside of my lips during the day but lining my lips ensures that they don’t move. These are not transfer-proof but are not messy either like a lip gloss.

You can see in the swatches below that a few shades have a frosty finish while the rest have a nice shine finish.

The pinks. Left to right: Fussy Princess, Miss Moxie, Hysteria, and Marquise.

The reds. Left to right: Napoleon Red and Rustique.

You can layer these on top of lipsticks or lipliners but they are so pigmented that I like to wear these alone. I also don’t have to apply a lip balm underneath, which I do with any lipstick, because these are super moisturizing. This is a Canadian brand and their products are cruelty-free and non comedogenic.

Manna Kadar Lip Locked (Pinot Noir) Review + Swatches

Hello again!

This shade is perfect for autumn, It is for those that don’t like the dark vampy lip but want to try darker berry tones. This is unlike a liquid lipstick or lip gloss; It has a very unique formula.

It is a true liquid that feels extremely light on the lips, it does not dry down like a liquid lipstick. It does not look like a gloss either; it has a sheen/shine but it is not glossy. It is very moisturizing but it does not slip or bleed outside of the lips, which can happen with very moisturizing lip products.

It lasts like an average lipstick if you do not eat or drink but as soon as you do, it will wipe away leaving a light berry stain. The stain will last for hours on the lips afterwards; it will wipe off if you use a makeup wipe. This contains Vitamins A, E, and berry extract to keeps lips moisturized.

Overall, I like this because of the moisturizing formula and the stain it leaves on afterwards. The color is a gorgeous wine, berry/purple, burgundy shade that is my favourite for fall time!
