Tony Moly I’m Real Aloe Mask Sheet Review

Tony Moly I'm Real Aloe Mask Sheet

Hi everyone!

Before I begin with the review I want to let you know that next week I will be posting a review everyday Monday to Friday. Each review will be of a mini travel-sized product that I think deserves a review on my blog and that I want to let you guys know about!

Now, lets continue with the review – I have been seeing these sheet masks from Tony Moly everywhere, in stores and online so I was very curious as to how effective they really are after one application. Each packet contains one sheet mask that is saturated in product. There are many different ones for almost every skin concern and I chose the hydrating Aloe.

The sheet mask itself is very nice; it sits well on the skin and has slits which can adjust to fit whether you have a short or long face. The mask is extremely saturated so you have to place a towel on your chest otherwise the product will drip and run down your face. The scent is very mild and pleasant; not at all overwhelming or bothersome which is very important since it needs to sit on the skin for 20 – 30 minutes. After removing the mask I massage the product into my skin and let it absorb. I instantly notice that my skin looks very plump and moisturized because of the glycerin, aloe and Hyaluronic acid that it contains.

I really liked the aloe formula and I will definitely be trying out the other sheet masks from Tony Moly. I purchased these masks from eBay for only $2 CAD a piece; I can’t find the seller but if you search this on eBay lots of sellers will come up and you can choose one.

Pilaten Suction Black Mask Review

Pilaten Suction Black Mask

Hello everyone!

This mask is very unique; it is like a nose strip but for the entire face. I wear a full face of makeup almost everyday and so I need something that will really clean out my pores every now and then.

This is similar to a charcoal mask in terms of what it does for the face (draws out dirt) and the black color that it has. I like to apply this after a hot shower; I feel that it pulls out more when I do this. Once it is applied it will start to harden and after about 10-15 minutes you can peel it off. This mask is hardcore; it will rip out any clogged pores and not to mention a bunch of peach fuzz. However, my skin becomes unbelievably smooth after just one use.

I would only use this once every month because it is so harsh and I don’t think it would be beneficial to use it more than that.

LUSH Cupcake Fresh Face Mask Review

Lush Cupcake Fresh Face Mask

Hello again!

This was the first product that I had ever tried from LUSH and having heard how great this mask is for oily skin types I was very excited to try it.

The packaging is rather simple; the product comes in a tub that you must keep in the fridge and use until the expiry date. The texture of this face mask is on the drier side so it takes a bit longer to spread on your face but once it’s on your face it won’t flake off. It smells amazing and looks like crumbled up cupcake and frosting.

The washing off process of this mask takes longer than the average mask because it really clings to your skin. After I rinse this off I notice that my skin feels very soft and that the mask absorbed almost all the oil on my face. The immediate result is amazing however, by the end of the day I notice that my skin produced more oil than it would normally. I tried using this a few more times and I got the same results every time. For this reason, I won’t be repurchasing but I did enjoy the scent and the feel of the mask and would try another LUSH mask in the future.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque Review

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque

Hi everyone!

The name says it all about this product; it is a mask that drenches your skin in moisture that will instantly give you a healthy glow. It is great to use once in a while to hydrate your skin and get rid of any dry patches.

AmorePacific Moisture Bound Intensive Serum Masque

This box contains two treatments with two masks and two vials of product. You are suppose to open a vial and apply the serum onto your face without working the product in; I used my fingers to apply. Then there are two pieces of the mask which need to be placed on your face right after the serum is applied.

Upon application I noticed that the mask had a strong cooling sensation which did not go away until I removed the mask. The mask stuck pretty well onto the face without slipping or falling off. After about 15 minutes or so I removed the mask and noticed that most of the serum was absorbed into my skin and that my skin looked extremely healthy, glowing, very soft to the touch and my pores looked very tiny. These results stayed for a few days which was very surprising; I’m guessing that the serum absorbed very well into my skin in order to keep my skin hydrated for so long with just one treatment.

Even though I have an oily t-zone I do struggle with dehydrated skin. I wish the serum in the little vials came in a large size so that I could apply this every night! I loved the results, definitely recommend for dry/dehydrated skin types.

Amie Skincare Mask, Moisturizer, and Facial Wash Review

Amie Skincare Moisturiser Facial Wash Mask

I had never heard of this skincare line and I’m so glad that I discovered it! My skin is the softest it has ever been with using these for a couple of weeks now.

Starting with the purifying facial wash; it claims to be a moisturizing face wash that clears (contains mayblossom and elderflower, which controls oiliness and prevents blemishes) and softens skin (contains orangeblossom and raspberry which tones and refreshes). It is not a foaming face wash but rather a creamy consistency that leaves my skin extremely soft immediately after washing it off. My skin type is oily (t-zone) with dry patches and this face wash is perfect for the mornings to prep my skin for foundation as it hydrates and I don’t notice my foundation clinging to my dry patches. This is perfect for the winter time or for those that suffer with dry skin year-round.

The deep cleansing mask has been extremely useful for me lately because I have had a few breakouts and it is seriously effective on pimples and blemishes. I have used it all over my face a few times and I must warn you that this has a peppermint and lime scent that will make your eyes water if it is placed around the eyes. As soon as I wash the mask off after about 10 minutes, my skin is silky soft and I notice that it cleared out most of my pores. I mostly use this for spot treatments on the pimples that I have been getting recently and the day after I use this the pimple looks much smaller and the redness is almost gone! This mask is very effective on breakouts without drying out my skin.

Lastly, the hydrating daily moisturiser is a good everyday moisturizer that looks good under makeup. I usually like to use a matifying moisturizer because of my oily t-zone but I can definitely see myself reaching for this more often in the winter because it moisturizes without being greasy and it also smells like rose, which I enjoy. It contains rose extract, rose hip oil and mallow. This also makes my skin ridiculously soft.

I highly recommend these products because they do as they say and they are dermatologically tested, pH balanced, and suitable for vegans. They are also free from parabens, mineral oils, petrochemicals, and animal extracts. I will definitely be repurchasing when these run out and I would love to try more; I’m very impressed with these!

St. Ives Mineral Clay Mask, Green Tea, and Apricot Scrub Review

St. Ives Mineral Clay Mask.Apricot Scrub.Green Tea Scrub

Hi everyone,

These St.Ives scrubs and mask are very useful for deep cleaning your skin as well as prepping it for makeup. My face makeup has looked so much better since I discovered these and I will forever repurchase them!

Starting with the Mineral Clay Firming Mask; it is a cooling thick formula which pleasantly smells like mint. It claims to visibly firm and tighten skin however, I don’t notice much firming after the application since I do not have sagging skin to begin with. I do notice that it deep cleans my pores; it seems to clean out most of my blackheads and my skin feels very smooth after using this just once. It starts to dry after 5-10 minutes and about 10-15 minutes I rinse it off with warm water. I use this once a week usually on the weekends so that there is no left-over makeup in my pores from the week.

I use the Green Tea Scrub almost daily because it is gentle however, keep in mind that I do not have sensitive skin. This scrub claims to clear blackheads and has oil-free salicylic acid which fights acne. It also has natural exfoliants and is paraben and sulfate free.  It has very tiny beads in it which you can’t see but you can definitely feel. The smell is hard to describe, the best way that I can describe it is that it smells like a really fresh shampoo; it smells the best out of the three.

Lastly, the Apricot Scrub has been repurchased by me 3+ times because I love it so much. After the 2nd repurchase I realized that it wasn’t the same formula; it use to be very harsh before but now the exfoliants are fewer and smaller. I discovered that the Apricot scrub has different formulas, I believe that I purchased either the “blemish control” or “fresh skin” formula, which was harsher. I didn’t mind that formula but I could only use it once a week but this formula (“timeless skin”) can be used about 2-3 times a week without irritating my skin. The scent of both formulas are the same, again hard to describe; it smells very fresh and pleasant.
