Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum Review

Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum

Hello everyone!

I hope you all had an amazing holiday/new years! Today I want to write a short review on this serum as I’ve been putting it to the test for about 3-4 weeks and I have gathered my thoughts on it.

What set this serum aside from the others I own is that it is marketed as an organic, really “pure” formula. It is targeted towards oily/combination skin and helps to reduce breakouts (contains salicylic acid), evens skintone (Vitamin C), Smooths texture (CoQ10), and hydrates (aloe, green/white tea). It contains other organic ingredients and antioxidants which are all suppose to help you get an overall improved complexion.

The first week that I tried this out I noticed that my existing acne was healing faster than usual but on the second week I did have two breakouts and again the same thing – I noticed that it wouldn’t stick around for more than a day or two. I did notice a slight improvement in my skin as it is more smooth – less texture which I noticed while applying highlighter. My redness has also lessened quite a bit and my pores seem slightly less noticeable. It is hard to measure the effectiveness of a serum but by swapping my other serum with this I can say that I notice subtle but clear results.

Overall, I enjoy this and will definitely use it up! I also like knowing that this serum is formulated without any of the bad ingredients and my skin seems to love it so far.

Physicians Formula Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum Review + Swatch

Physicians Formula Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum

Hello everyone!

This serum isn’t like any other, it’s a skincare-makeup item because it has the benefits of a serum but it also gives a gorgeous pink-champagne glow to the skin! I’ve been using this for a while now and thought I would share my review on it today.

Physicians Formula Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum

The packaging is simple but sweet, it contains a dropper which I don’t mind for serums (my favourite is with a pump). The packaging has a weight to it which makes it slightly more luxurious but maybe not the best for travelling.

Physicians Formula Rose All Day Oil-Free Serum

This product has a prominent rose scent but it is a natural rose scent – not an artificial one which makes me feel like I’m putting on an expensive product. This is described as an oil-free pearluminous formula which helps to tighten and brighten. It contains rose water, Goji and Kakadu Plum which are Vitamin C and antioxidant rich. But let’s be real – – I bought this for the glow and maybe not so much for the skincare part but I do appreciate that it is beneficial for the skin.

This product absorbs/dries down within seconds which I love because I don’t like adding on thick layers to my skin as I’m oily and that results in my makeup not lasting very long. This looks really pretty under sheer/matte finishes because the glow is toned down and makes the finish of the foundation more skin-like and not flat. I also like how this has a pretty reflect that flashes slightly pink as it color corrects and brightens. It’s a little difficult to see the pink reflect in the swatch below but trust me it is noticeable in person.

In conclusion, if you are looking for a skincare-makeup hybrid that is good for your skin (hypoallergenic, paraben-free, gluten-free, cruelty-free, clinically tested and dermatologist tested) while wanting a pretty fresh pink/pearl glow then you will enjoy this.

I’m super curious to try out the 24 karat serum but can’t find it anywhere in stores! Have you tried these serums from Physicians Formula?

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum & Gel-Cream Review

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum Gel Cream

Hi everyone!

If you’ve read my previous skincare reviews, you’d know that I have a bit of a difficult skin type. It’s super oily all over but it can get very dry in the winter months – so you could say I have dehydrated oily skin. I also have struggled with acne but that’s more so in the past and after switching to Clinique products it isn’t my main issue anymore. I also get tiny bumps on my cheeks and forehead which I believe is due to either clogged pores (due to very oily skin) or it could be because I’m sensitive to the sun. Long story short; my skin is very sensitive and I’m always leery of using new products because I never know how my skin will react. I’ve been testing this serum and moisturizer for a few weeks now and I’m excited to give my review on them today!

Vichy Aqualia Thermal Serum Gel Cream

Starting off with the serum; I like the simple packaging and the mild but pleasant scent that this product has. The consistency isn’t thin but it isn’t thick either; it spreads out and absorbs quickly but not fully where it would leave my skin dry – it adds moisture. The moisturizer is actually not too different consistency-wise from the serum as this is a gel-cream it is super light-weight but packs a punch in terms of leaving my skin super hydrated and plumped.

I use the serum and moisturizer in my morning routine because I love how it preps my skin for makeup. It creates a nice bouncy, plumped canvas that allows my face makeup to look fresh and not cakey. Both products contain glycerin which leaves my skin slightly tacky after application which I like when I prep my skin for makeup because I find that it helps my foundation last longer but I do not enjoy this for night because of that reason. I also enjoy the fact that these products are 97% natural and the ingredient list is so tiny compared to other similar products. These also contain hyaluronic acid which is my second ingredient after Vitamin C in skincare. Hyaluronic acid helps bring moisture to the skin.

Did I really enjoy this serum and moisturizer? Yes, because it gave me hydration without greasiness and it noticeably plumped my skin and smoothed out texture. I’m half-way through the serum and about 2/3 of the gel-cream is remaining and I’m already thinking about where I can find these products on sale after I finish them!

I’ve heard good things about Vichy’s sunscreen but never tried. What would you recommend I try next from Vichy?

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Review (+ Eye Concentrate Matrix)

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

Hi everyone!

I’m excited to review this serum today because it’s a nice change from the last two products that I have reviewed and was disappointed by. I’m so obsessed with this product – I’m finishing my second bottle of it and already have a backup in my drawer!

Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair

The Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Synchronized Recovery Complex II (I just refer to this as the ANR serum) claims to make skin smoother, more radiant, younger, hydrated and more even in tone. It does this by maximizing the power of skin’s natural nighttime renewal. After going through 2 bottles of this, I have to say that I agree with all of the claims except for the “younger” one since I don’t have any wrinkles and so I can’t comment on that. This serum has made my skin look so healthy and radiant that I can’t stop using it. As many of you may know, I have an oily, breakout-prone skin and this does not break me out nor make me more greasy throughout the day. It is oil and fragrance-free which are the two things I always look for in skincare products.

I have to say that this has become my absolute favourite and I can not replace it with any other serum. Even though this is meant to be used in the evenings I actually apply this in the morning as well under my moisturizer and on those days I get so many compliments on my skin. This product comes in a few different sizes, I do prefer the smallest size just because it comes with a dropper and so you are exposing the product to air which makes it’s shelf life shorter in my opinion. I also have to point out that the dropper can separate from the cap – this happened to me on the first bottle that I purchased.

The other product that I want to also mention is the Advanced Night Repair Eye Concentrate Matrix, which is the little bottle next to the ANR serum. I received this as a sample in a gift with purchase and just had to mention that I’ve been loving this as well! It feels like a gel almost – it isn’t heavy or greasy feeling under the eyes and you apply this with a cute little massaging wand. I don’t think this is really sanitary but since it’s a tiny bottle; I’m not too bothered by it.

Synchronized Recovery Complex Eye Concentrate Matrix

Overall, this is a great serum – probably the first serum that I would recommend to anyone that wants to include one in their skincare routine. The eye concentrate is really nice too but I have other eye creams that are just as good.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate Review

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

Hello everyone!

This is a fairly new product from Clinique but I haven’t heard much about it on social media/YouTube. I knew if this was anything like the Moisture Surge Extended Thirst Relief than I would love it!

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

This is described as a water-gel formula that boosts skin’s hydration for a full 24 hours. It also contains antioxidants – the little beads contain Vitamins C and E which is great because I always get the best results with serums/moisturizers that contain Vitamin C. Vitamin C brightens, lightens acne scars and has great anti-aging benefits.

Clinique Moisture Surge Hydrating Supercharged Concentrate

The packaging is gorgeous; you can also see how much product you still have in the bottle. It contains a pump and is not housed in a jar or dropper type bottle; since it’s airtight the vitamins will stay fresh. I believe this contains hyaluronic acid as well which is the most effective ingredient to combat dryness. It feels very lightweight and refreshing upon application – it can feel a bit tacky if you apply too much; one pump is enough for the entire face.

I definitely feel the hydration and plumpness this gives my skin after each use but it doesn’t give that instant silky feeling that the Moisture Surge Extended gives. I have very oily skin and find that this can definitely replace my moisturizer but for dry skin types I would recommend that you layer a moisturizer on top of this.

Overall, I like how this contains some anti-aging benefits as well as replacing moisturizer for me but I would recommend the Moisture Surge Extended over this because I’m addicted to the instant softness that it gives.

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum Review

Clinique Smart Custom-Repair Serum

Hello again!

This serum claims to diminish fine lines/wrinkles, brighten skin tone/even dark spots, lift and firm and lastly improve radiance and texture. It’s an all-in-one serum that definitely got my attention because it’s suppose to target your specific skin concerns.

I like the packaging because I prefer a pump for serums over a dropper – it is airtight and will stay fresh a lot longer. The serum itself has a slip to it – it isn’t a liquid that is runny but sort of like a serum and moisturizer in one. It instantly plumps the skin after just one application and it makes your skin super smooth and soft. Before I get into the results; I’m in my mid twenties with some acne scarring, slightly uneven textured skin, fairly noticeable pores and a very oily complexion.

After about 6 weeks of daily use I noticed a huge difference – 90% of my acne scars were gone and the other 10% were hardly noticeable! I noticed that my skin looked overall more radiant and plump; it looks very hydrated and healthy. It also helped with my skin texture – I felt much more confident without foundation because I had a healthy glow. I don’t struggle with lines and wrinkles or sagginess so I can’t comment about that but since it deeply hydrates I would imagine that it would lessen the look of lines and wrinkles.

Overall, I really enjoyed this serum but it is on the expensive side however, if your desperate for a serum that can lighten acne spots – this is my recommendation to you.

b.liv Shrink and Tighten Serum Review

b.liv Shrink and Tighten

Hi again!

I’m always interested in trying out different products that claim to shrink my pores. I have noticed that my pores definitely look less visible from using products that really deep clean my skin but in terms of shrinking my pores; no product has been able to do that yet.

This product claims to minimize the look of pores, unclog pores, control oil, regenerate and repair cells, brighten and firm the skin. It contains lots of beneficial ingredients such as niacinamide which promotes collagen synthesis, normalizes sebum secretion and control acne. It contains vitamin C, A, E and lastly, salicylic acid; which helps acne and soothes the skin.

After using this regularly I didn’t really notice a difference in my pores but I did notice smoother, healthier looking skin. It definitely improved my skin texture and brightened my complexion. It has a pleasant slightly floral scent and the formula is very water-y; absorbs instantly. It has a demi-matte finish and sits nicely under makeup.

Overall, I enjoy this as a vitamin serum to help skin texture and give radiance however, since I didn’t notice it doing much for my pores I wouldn’t recommend it for that.
